If you are using WordPress as your website platform, you undoubtedly know that WordPress plugins are one of the primary features behind the WP’s popularity. If there is something that you want your website to do, there is probably a WordPress Plugin to add that functionality to your website.
With that said, having too many plugins on your website that are not being used (i.e., they are installed, and are also deactivated), can cause some issues. Extra unused plugins (which is actually programming code) make your site bigger, could make the site slower, and if not being used should not be on your website.
When you’re done with a plugin, uninstall it to avoid any issues. There is no reason to keep plugins that are doing nothing on your dashboard and taking up space. If you are not using a plugin and you’re done with it, it’s best to uninstall it to avoid any issues. There is no reason to have a deactivated plugin on your website. If you think you might need it later, simply delete it NOW and reinstall it later when you need it again.
