Some More WordPress 3.3 features

Since WordPress 3.3 will coming shortly (and hopefully sooner rather than later), I thought it would be a good idea to share some more features that will be included with the new version! I am getting excited about some of them and cannot wait to implement them in a production blog site!

One huge feature of WordPress 3.3 will be an overhaul to its media uploader by adopting Plupload, ( a system created by the folks at TinyMCE)  that will bring some cool new ways to upload images. Without getting too technical, a bunch of them include using HTML5 (which is a good thing). Also, you will be able to resize your images, drag -n-drop, filter by type of file and some other cool things!

If I understand correctly, there will be a ‘language installer’ so you can change the language of the WordPress Interface. This will not translate your site/blog content, but it will translate the back office area. Pretty cool if English is not your first language!

For those of you creating on an iPad, you will love the  Adaptive Desk feature. WordPress will recognize the size of your viewing screen area and present your back office area in a way that is more conclusive to using! Personally, this does not do anything for me since I do not yet have an iPad, however, my birthday is coming up at the end of the month (hint, hint!)

More Features to come…

I never even thought about blogging on my iPad. Did I mention that I just got an iPad? LOL

Seriously though, when is 3.3 being released?

No need to rub it in… Have fun with your iPad!

WordPress 3.3 is currently in Beta 4 version… so it will be here shortly!
