    hey paul
fantastic idea 馃檪 – was pondering the whole night (3:35 am my place) to pop you an email.

    holding several websites.
    one wordpress.com – no problem

2 others (a .de domain and a .com domain) are hosted via a german provider with wordpress installed by me.
.com had had a plugin problem which didn.t allow me to delete it via wordpress system, so i had to delete the plugin via ftp.
corrupted the site complretely – got error 404 for each page :P. so i delete wp from the .com directory and reinstalled it. new mysql and every config.php was handled correctly.
only difference i chose the latested version for .com.
since that moment .de just jumpds to .com (which isn.t intended and there is no redirection involved).
both domains have their own directory on the server of the provider and their own wordpress.
need an english site and a german one.

can the newer version be the problem?
only solution i know by the moment is to delete the german site too and reinstall both sites – :/
    still confused
    thanks
    helen

You must be a mind reader.

    Need Favicon help
Changed my theme and not sure how to customize font
Can’t seem to get video working properly

Is that enough for now. Will try to make it to the call. Thanks much

sorry, won’t be able to make the webinar, attending a camp meeting.
I do have a question though: I still can not figure out how to get rid of the box that says :
Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public
    Can you help? Heidi

Thanks Paul for the extra help session. I have a question regarding updating themes. I use the paid theme “Thesis”, but have two update messages saying I have version 1.2 for both the Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven themes and that versions 1.3 are available for updates. Do I need to be concerned with these messages since I use the “Thesis” theme? If I do not need to update these themes can I delete these messages or somehow request WordPress to not send these reminders? Thanks, Karen Malone

      Karen –
Technically, you can delete both of those themes. Since you are using Thesis, you do not need them. When/If you delete them, the update messages will go away as well.

I keep twenty-eleven and up to date on my site here even though I am also using Thesis. If something happens with an update to WordPress or a plugin, I can always activate the default theme to get back to ‘default’ as possible.
