As a blogger, you might feel like you are all alone. There you are sitting in front of your computer trying to make a difference in your corner of the __(niche)__ world (the blank might be Living Green; it might be showcasing LBDs;聽 perhaps it is an up and coming Baking site; or even a Tarot Reading site). If you want your site to be successful, then one thing that is certain: you are going to have to reach out and become part of a community. It is not a matter of IF, but WHEN will you work with others.
The good news is that you are not alone! Every blogger will feel this way! So, what is there for you to do?
For starters, try finding other blogs in your niche. Connect with the authors on there – leave comments, send private emails. Develop a rapport with that site. Interact via comments with other folks leaving comments. Show appreciation in your comment for how the post/page helped you. Be supportive!
Is this work? A little bit! But the rewards are wonderful! The camaraderie and friendships you will develop will certainly pay off for you (and I am not even talking about the financial aspects!)
Take the plunge! Jump on it! Let people know that you are out there! Stand up and yell, “I am here!” OK – you can do that figuratively if you want.. but still go out and post on those blogs!
By the way… I am thinking of creating a forum to share ideas… Any interest in that?
Be Well.

Thanks for the plug on the Living Green site! And those of reading this who are uncertain, I highly recommend that you confer with Paul about getting your web site up and running with WordPress.

Thank you for all of your help, Paul! You changed my Blogger site from a fledgling 350 or so views one month to an awesome WordPress site with over 6,000 views the next! I’m pretty happy with that. 馃檪

That is Awesome, Amethyst! Glad I could help!

Great post Paul! I’m currently in the process of migrating from Blogger to WordPress myself and really appreciate you WordPress expertise – I’ll be leaning on you more once my migration is complete!

Great! I have migrated a few sites from there to self-hosting! You will like it much more being out on your own!
