Adding a Contact Form

Here is a short video showing how to install a Contact form on your website.

Never simply have your email address listed on a page – spammers can find it, grab it, sell it, and before you know it, the amount of spam you get increases dramatically! The more popular your site becomes, the more spam you get!

Using a contact form will ‘hide’ your email address from them!

Will you be adding a contact form to your site? I see you do not have one.

Hi Paul! I love all of your tips for making wordpress so easy to use and keeping it secure at the same time. Thanks for making the process doable for entrepreneurs. I think it also makes us look more professional to have a contact form rather than just list out our contact information 🙂

Great post Paul! So often people leave this off or just want to put an email address there. The form looks much more professional. Also depending on the type of form it is some people ask for too much information. There is a good balance for any form depending on how it is going to be used on the website.

Thanks, Richelle – I agree – sometimes some sites ask for way to much required info. Stick to what is needed. Contact Form 7 is simple, basic, and gets the job done. There are other plugins (and/or themes that have them built in) that are more sophisticated. Unless there is a specific need for something more elaborate, this solution should work for most people!
