Pay Day!

What is the best part of your job? If you are like most people, I think it is the…

Predictable paydays.

Think about it – if you were paid weekly, then you felt good (and rich) every Friday when you went to the bank and chased that paycheck or when your Direct Deposit hit your account!

The good news is that as an entrepreneur, you can still feel rich on Fridays!

Is this really possible, especially if you are just starting out? Yup! Want to know how?

All you have to do is to turn your blog and a free offer into regular Fridays paydays.

Did you realize that You’re going to make money by giving away free stuff.

It might help if I explain this a little more  hang tight!

The key here is to develop some sort of free product that directly relates to an affiliate product you’re promoting. This free item could be a report, video, audio, piece of software or some other tool.

However, this freebie is a bit incomplete without the main product – and that’s why you’ll promote the affiliate offer from within the freebie. As such, many of the people who download and use the freebie will also purchase the product using your affiliate link.

Time for another example or two:

  •  You’re selling a French food cookbook. You create a free report that shows people how to throw a dinner party that features French food. And while you may even provide complete menu ideas and shopping lists, the prospect needs to buy the cookbook to get the recipes!
  •  You’re selling software. You can create a video that shows people how to install and use this software for full effect. This is particularly powerful if the software creator doesn’t have any documentation!
  •  You’re an affiliate for an organic-gardening supply store. You offer a free report that details how to get rid of pests in an organic garden. Naturally, you link to one or more products in the gardening store.
  • You’re an affiliate for a retirement-planning product. You develop software that helps people track their finances, budget and get out of debt. While useful by itself, the software is most beneficial to those who purchase the product.

Straight forward and easy, right?

Now, you could certainly give away something for free every once in a while – and you’d be sure to enjoy a nice payday each time you do. But for maximum effect (and profits!), you should create a weekly feature, such as a “Friday Freebie” that you advertise in a prominent place on your blog.

You’ll enjoy a couple of benefits:

  1.  A Friday Freebie makes your blog sticky, because readers will come back again and again to see what you’re offering this week.
  2.  A Friday Freebie turns your Fridays into paydays. The more people who download your freebie, the more money you’ll make!

Both are worth getting excited about! So, can you guess what I am going to be doing starting Friday?!

Sounds good, Paul! I need to get a move on my freebie products but I have some paid ones in the works so I’m getting there.
