5 Ways Bloggers Can Build a Passive Income

Many people start to write their own blogs because they enjoy writing, but since there are so many ways to tap into extra income sources on the internet, it’s worth checking out some of the methods you could use.

A blog which is able to generate a fair amount of traffic and has managed to build a loyal and strong audience could build a passive income in several ways. You can try your hand at one, or all of these methods (and there are certainly more than these 5 ways). I suggest you try them one at a time so you can stay focused. Complete one before moving on to the next one.

In no particular聽order, they are:

1 – Write an e-book

If you’re a blogger, writing is probably one of your strengths. An e-book could be the perfect way to create more passive income for yourself while also being able to share all those valuable lessons and tips from blogging that have helped make your blog successful in the first place!

If you’re an avid blogger or someone who really enjoys writing down their thoughts on paper (or computer screen), then it’s likely that this task would suit both your skillset as well as what interests you most. For example: if publishing articles online has been working out pretty well for ya so far but now there doesn’t seem like much demand anymore because everyone else teaches doing it too, try switching things up with something new such as creating an e-book!

2 – Make friends with other bloggers/businesses

Using your blog as a platform to advertise can help to bring in extra cash. Other small businesses and bloggers may be willing to pay you a small commission per month for having a link or advert to their site on your page. This is a great way to make some extra cash if you have a few businesses willing to pay for space on your site.

3 – Develop an online course

This isn’t for everyone since it often involves how-to videos and other learning tools that not everybody feels comfortable with producing by themselves. There are various ways to develop an online course, however, including text and images or step-by-step guides. You could sell a course which teaches blogging, or you could teach your audience a skill that you have and would like to pass on.

4 -Sell your photos

If you have a passion for good photography, you can earn money by selling your photographs. This is a good way to develop another passive income stream, since you can sell the same photo to many different people. There are many photo selling websites which allow anybody to upload and sell their artwork, or you can upload them on your own blog and advertise there too.

5 – Create designs

Once you’ve built a fairly stable following for your blog, you might want to consider producing some merchandise with your logo. You can also create different versions of your logo and sell only the designs. Buyers will then use the design on items of their choice which can be manufactured elsewhere. There are many services聽out there like CafePress, Zazzle, LuLu, etc.

Those are great ideas for bloggers, Paul! I would like to create an online course that would provide passive income. Advertising seems like a good idea, too, I might like to do at some point.

That was a good list! can we publish an e-book of all the posts already existing on the blog? Just in case somebody would like to read it all at once? Or it should be on a certain topic only.

The answer is yes! You can do whatever you want to do.

Some folks have compiled their blog posts into an e-book to make the writing easier! If you have a lot of content already on your site, put it all together and edit it into an e-book.

eBook, seminars, and service. Sure, the blog serves as advertising- but you probably need to do more marketing and advertising to make that passive income become taxable. (In other words, more than $ 600 of reportable income.)

Of course! Creating your product/service is only the start! You will need to advertise and sell in order to get the income you are looking for.

Interesting ideas even if I’m not interested in earning income. The idea of developing an online course and writing an ebook has appeals. Ideas are food for the brain.

ANd with your site being hosted on WordPress.com, there are some restrictions on what you can and cannot sell 馃檪 SO you are safe for now since you are NOT selling.
