I have been playing around with images and sayings more and more these days. In the past, I would create boring ones, but now with apps that are available on my iPhone as well as online, it is much easier to be more creative.
One of my biggest frustrations was coming up with the background image. Coming up with quotes was easy – after all, I send out a Gratitude Burst every day! I found coming up with the image was more difficult for me.
Sure, some of the services provide you with stock background images. I figured a lot of people used them and I wanted something different. I have a lot of pictures on my phone and my computer, so what can I do with them?
And now? Now I found this article: 4 Ways to Use Images as a Background in your Design. Poppie shares 4 simple and easy artistic ways to use images as backgrounds.
For one, Clever Clear Space, she describes:
- Make your image work in your favor, move it around to establish a clear space to apply your text.
- Using colors for your text that complement the features (like the milk) in聽your background image, will give your layout continuity.
- To work your negative space a little further, make your image greyscale, and increase the brightness. Applying the same color to your text聽will give your design monochromatic unity.
